DR. RAMSEY
Gresham Town Fair Chiropractic Clinic has been established since 1990. Dr. Ramsey has owned and operated the clinic since February of 2000, after almost three years of experience working in the clinic. Dr. Ramsey is a Family Wellness Chiropractor that also has extensive experience in Auto Accidents, Whiplash, Personal Injury, Workers Compensation Claims, as well as Sports Injuries, Neck Pain, Back Pain, Low Back Pain, Headaches. Dr. Ramsey lectures on many Health, Wellness and Healthcare topics. Gresham Town Fair Chiropractic Clinic approach to improved health and wellness is through using time-tested techniques, namely the Gonstead system of evaluation and treatment. Doctor Ramsey also believes in using the latest technology available in the assessment and care of patients through using a system know as The Subluxation Station, which evaluates for nervous system interference through skin temperature, muscle tone, and range of motion. The Clinic's Mission is to educate and empower as many Families as possible towards Optimal Health and Wellness through Safe and Natural Chiropractic Care. The Clinic's vision is that chiropractic would be the first choice in family healthcare, and Gresham Town Fair Chiropractic Clinic would be a primary source of healthcare and wellness services and information. We believe in the right of everyone to obtain a spine and nervous system check-up that is not cost prohibitive. The Clinic's Goal is that we would be our practice member family chiropractor for life. While there may be times that our patients are not under active care, we will be here for them when they feel the need arises. We are also available for periodic wellness checks. Our Goal is to check as many members of our community as possible for spine and nervous system dysfunction and dis-ease, preferably before permanent damage has occurred. We are here for you, you are not here for us!
DR. SYKESGlenn Sykes, DC, graduated from State University of New York at Buffalo, NY in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He moved to Oregon to attend Chiropractic College in Portland. In 1995 he graduated from Western States Chiropractic College. He then spent 4 months as an intern working with a chiropractor who specializes in Activator Methods. He spent the next 13 years working in private practice in Newberg, Oregon.
During his time in Newberg, Dr. Sykes also worked as an associate professor of Anatomy and Physiology at Oregon School of Massage. The subjects he taught included cardio-respiratory, gastro-enterology, neurology, renal, hepatic and reproductive anatomy and physiology
There are many different types of chiropractic treatments. Instead of specializing in one type of care, Dr. Sykes has chosen to take a wide diversity of classes. In this way he can offer a treatment plan tailored specifically for you.
Chiropractic has been called an art and a science. Dr. Sykes’ many years of education and his teaching experience give him a strong scientific background. Dr. Ramsey is Doctor of Chiropractic. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Western States Chiropractic College in 1996. Prior to attending Chiropractic College, Dr. Ramsey attended California State University, Chico, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Physical Education, with a certificate as an Exercise Science Specialist. Prior to becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Ramsey worked as a physical trainer with over six years in exercise program instruction. This experience along with Dr. Ramsey chiropractic degree has lead towards a practice that is not only focused on injury care and wellness, but also prevention through exercise, nutrition and supplementation, as well as stress awareness and prevention.
insurance billing, reports and other office duties.Before coming to work for Dr. Ramsey, I worked for the Port of Portland in the Marine Department for 23 years in both Vessel Operations and Intermodal. I made a complete career change from the shipping industry to Chiropractic in 2000 when the Port leased out the marine to a private stevedoring company. I am so gald I did. I have enjoyed being involved in Dr. Ramsey's practice. I even retired for a couple months from working, but I missed it so much I came back to work part time! I am also Dr. Ramsey's Mother-In-Law. I enjoy reading, crafts, scrap-booking, ceramics and most of all spending time with my two beautiful granddaughters. My husband and I have been married for 40 years.
I moved to Gresham in 1976 where I have lived off and on since. I graduated from Gresham Union High School in 1982 and have completed the Coding and Billing Specialist program at Concorde Career institute at the beginning of 2007. I became a Certified Professional Coder in February of 2007. I began my career with Gresham Town Fair Chiropractic and Dr. Ramsey during my externship time in February 2007. This career has brought many challenges but what I enjoy most is our patients and the joy they bring to the office.
I am originally from Missouri. I lived in Georgia for a few years & then moved to Oregon in 1989, and have lived here ever since. I graduated from Centennial High School in 2001. I began my career with Gresham Town Fair Chiropractic Clinic in September of 2007 as a Chiropractic Assistant.
My family and I moved to the Portland area in June 2008. We settled on the northwest after moving around for several years while my husband was in the Navy. I have been married since 2002 and have two beautiful children, a daughter and a son. As a family we enjoy outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and fishing. We travel to our home town in Washington frequently to visit family and have a great time doing road trips away from home.
